Gemix slot falls in the group of slots that try to recreate the immensely popular gems-themed games played on smartphones. Play ‘N Go has developed Gemix as an extremely playable game which can keep you occupied for hours. You can progress through the various worlds which makes the game more interesting and fun to play.

Our Gemix Slots Overview

Play ‘N Go design team definitely had gems in mind when designed Gemix. Everything in it evokes the image of gems when you play it. Gemix has a 7x7 grid, instead of the standard reels, in which colourful gems fall into constantly.

The symbols can be easily split into groups of low-value and high-value symbols. The low-value symbols include 4 four gems representing a blue rectangular gem, turquoise triangular gem, violet square gem and a green pentagon. Listed in ascending order, they award payouts for combinations of 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10+, 12+, and 15+ matching symbols.

The group of high-value symbols includes three symbols representing a pink crescent moon, red heart and a yellow star as the highest paying symbol. These symbols also award certain payouts for landing combinations of 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10+, 12+, and 15+ matching symbols, with the minimum payout being 0.75 and the maximum 500.00.

The three worlds of Gemix slot have their own unique Wild symbols. They start with the miner’s lantern for the world of the miner dwarf, continue with a lollipop Wild for the second world, and the world of the wizard has a spellbook. The Wilds substitute for all other symbols and differ in their appearance. You can get up to 10 miner lamps on non-winning rounds, the lollipop Wild can spread from edge to edge on non-winning rounds, and you can get up to 8 sticky spell book Wilds in different positions on non-winning rounds.

How To Play Gemix

Playing the Gemix slot is as simple as it gets. All you need to set before each round is the coin size. There are 10 available coin values that include 0.50 p, 0.70 p, £1.00, £1.50, £2.00 p, £5.00, £10.00, £20.00, £50.00, and £100.00. To select your coin size, you need to click on the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ arrows at the bottom centre of the screen. Once you are done setting the coin value, press the Start button in the bottom right corner of the screen and the gems will start falling from above.

If pressing Start after each round is not your thing, you can always go for the Gemix slot AutoPlay feature that gives you the chance to sit and enjoy the gameplay while the reels spin automatically. When you click on the AutoPlay button, which is positioned in the left bottom corner of the screen, a new window opens in the centre of the screen. Here, you can set the variables for the AutoPlay rounds, including when to stop this feature. When you press Start, the reels start spinning and the number of remaining rounds is displayed. You can stop this feature at any given time by pressing Stop in the bottom left corner of the screen.

How To Win Gemix

Winning payouts in Gemix slots are awarded for landing combinations of five or more matching symbols. Those symbols need to be touching, horizontally and/or vertically, but not diagonally, to be considered a winning combo. After each win, all symbols are removed from the reels and get replaced by new ones that fall to fill the gaps.

Of all symbols in Gemix, the highest payouts are awarded by the yellow star which pays out 1000 times your total bet for 15 and 200x for over twelve stars. The red heart can get you 500 for 15, while the crescent moon and the flower are worth 100.

Some of the lowest paying symbols include the blue gem which is worth 1/10 of the total bet for a combination of 5 symbols. Each win gives you the chance for more through the cascading wins, with the smaller wins adding up nicely over time.

Gemix Bonus Features

Crystal Charge

This Gemix bonus feature is triggered by collecting 20 or more of the gem symbols in one spin. Four of the bonus features are available and awarded randomly in the spinning ball which is to the right from the grid:

  • Nova Blast – one gem explodes and destroys all adjacent symbols;
  • Crystal Warp – one random symbol gets picked and all matching symbols turn into other symbols;
  • Light Beam – one symbol shoots horizontal and vertical rays of light turning the symbols into matching ones;
  • Chain Lightning – the flash of lightning is used to join two opposing corners, transforming all symbols in its way to match the corners.

World Progression

As mentioned above, the Gemix slot has three worlds through which players can progress with three levels within each world. To complete a level, you need to match the gems on the top of the patterns which can be seen underneath those gems.

During this bonus feature, you can get a ‘World Bonus’ amount which gets slightly increased with each win. This amount is collected when you progress to another world. The faster you progress, the smaller the World Bonus will be.

World Wilds

Each of the worlds in Gemix has its own Wild symbol which can get triggered on any non-winning spin. In world One, you can get up to 10 miner lamp wilds added to the grid. In World Two, the lollypop Wild symbols will stretch across the screen and in World Three, you will get up to 8 spellbook Wilds added to the grid and remain in place as long as you land combinations of matching gems.
